# GAME HISTORY AND STATS

I started to think about having a "card game" back when I was finishing my 1st card collection.

I don't recall who inspired me of doing it, but it started as some sort of a joke, that turned into something big and serious.

I had different visions about the game, wanted to make it like how discord bots are, but it proved to be quite hard and super challenging to do such stuff.

So, after I started making the second collection, I began my journey to find a capable dev in Arena. I knew it was going to be a paid collab, but I also wanted to do something to our Arena homies.

That limited my options to few, and eventually I collaborated with Curious Cake bro, the dev of $WINE.

Honestly making the game was a bit harder than I thought. First, I needed to finish the second collection, and used good part of the fund generated to make the game with my dev. At the same time, I had to do my homework by organising the minted cards into sheets, giving them the right power levels, and making some requests to the nft platform I used to mint the collections at.

Making the game didn't take more than 1 week. During which we kept testing and fixing the errors found. At first, we designed it to give absolute advantage to those holding cards, but soon enough we noticed how such approach was negatively impacting players. So we kept editing the rules until we finally reached the ones live today.

So far, 31 gladiators played the game, with 1102 game played since the beginning of the game.
